Woo Hoo! It is finally up!

It has been a long time coming and we could not be more thrilled to launch our new Raw Urth website! Thanks for checking it out and diving in deep enough to find the beginning of our blog!

For now, the goal of the blog is to share the knowledge and experience we have gathered through the years of working in this metal shop. There have been a lot of trial and error moments that have pointed us in a better direction and, we would like to share them with you. We now know which metal is best for a counter top and, how to clean metal surfaces. We’ve learned that although pewter and zinc start the same color, they age much differently. There is a reason and we intend to fill you in on all of this and more!

We answer the phones and talk face to face with people everyday about what to expect when working with metal. Certainly, those conversations will be a great place to start sharing! We will start with the basics and add information as it comes. You are welcome to shoot us an email or give us a call if there is something specific you would like us to address.

Also, because we work with some of the best designers across the nation, we catch wind of upcoming design trends. We want to share these with you too. Our hope is to invite guest bloggers in the design industry to share their thoughts on using metal in design. As we continue to develop our webpage, we want to give back to those designers by spotlighting their designs and sharing their talent with all of you.

Until then…

Please check out our new site and give us your comments! There is so much more to add and refine. This is just the start. We tried to lay it out in a way that would help you see options and inspirations at every click. Because Raw Urth builds so many custom pieces, we wanted to show you variety on basic themes. If you click on any of our products or, patina finishes, you will see multiple finishes and details based on that piece. We will keep adding as we get more photos!

Check back often or, subscribe if you would like notice of the latest and greatest!

  1. The metal detailing and finishes are great. I have recommended your product line to a couple of interior designers also. But it is your outdoor fireplaces that have been in my mind’s storage area for over 2 years and I was just getting ready to show a client a couple of them but they are no longer on your web site.

As with your company I have made changes. I went from a one man company and have joined a large design build firm based in Orange County CA with branch offices in San Diego, Union City, Sacramento CA as well as Oregon, Washington and Colorado. I am the landscape architect for the northern CA area and I can see your outdoor fireplaces being of interest to my clients. Will you be offering them any more?

The one you have a photo of on this blog is one of the units I am interested in showing the client and then there was the tall tapering unit with the horizontal detail.

Will you still be making them at all or are they not a part of your company direction any longer?

    • Hi Hal! Great to hear from you again! I just sent an email over to you with more information on our Fire Features, so you should have everything you need 🙂 Don’t hesitate to give us a call at 970-484-8851, or shoot me an email if you have any additional questions!

      Thank you!
      Steffany
