Feeling a bit more urban than her farm town, Indiana roots, university opportunities opened its doors for Brenda Voglewede. With a BA in Visual Communications Design from Purdue University in hand, an intensive post-graduate year of study soon followed in Information Design at the Der Hochschule der Künste (The Academy of Arts now Universität der Künste) in Berlin, Germany. This led to stints in Indianapolis and Chicago working for funky design firms immersing herself into the specialty of Environmental Graphic Design. This prepared her for advantageous moves to Denver working for world-renowned Gensler, a six-year design stint in a hip Miami firm and finally back to Denver again to “settle down.”
While working in a boutique design firm in Denver on the resort project, Devil’s Thumb Ranch, she found herself in need of a true metal artisan. It is then that she met, worked with and befriended Amy Sasick. She is now Raw Urth’s graphic designer who also dabbles with the modern styles of our new product designs all the while loving being Mom to her two little girls and hangin’ out with husband, Vic. Life is pretty great!
