Raven Black
Matte, magnetic and a bit mysterious, Raven Black Lacquer has the kind of depth that swallows light and anchors a space. This is not a standard black, but a richer, moodier, almost chalky refined black. Think vintage velvet or a very still moonless night. You can use it as contrast, weight or a sense of drama although, be warned, it does not clean and live as easily as a more mottled or tone on tone finish. Every speck of anything will show when the canvas is as flat and black as this.
No marbling, just a smooth, shadowed surface with a matte, dry finish.
Good when your space needs a grounding moment of quiet strength and sophisticated edge.
