It is pretty clear looking at the mottled texture on the Agate finish that this patina was named after the rock by the same name. This is the most color and movement that we can get out of a Stainless Steel Patina. Not quite as much color as the same patina we create on mild steel, the Stainless version still adds a nice organic flow of color and depth. Mixing golds, browns, purply-reds and an undertone of green, it is uniquely random and interesting. This is the perfect finish on an exterior fire feature as the Stainless keeps the feature from rusting while the Agate adds a rustiness not normally associated with the metal.
